Boiler and water heater manufacturer Lochinvar has added further models to its range of indirect water heaters.
Squire indirect water heaters are suitable for use with traditional heating boilers or as pre-heat vessels where renewable technologies such as solar thermal, bio-mass boilers or air source heat pumps are used.
The range now comprises twenty models with storage capacities from 290 to 2850 litres, eight of which are also available with twin coils. Most models in the Squire range have the facility to add immersion heater providing end users with flexibility of fuel choice and the reassurance of an uninterrupted hot water supply.
Peak draw-off capacities range from 597 to 5,456 litres in 60 minutes at 50degC temperature rise and can operate at working pressures of up to 10.0 bar.
“We are best known for direct gas-fired water heaters, but the growth of our condensing boiler business and general customer demand for more flexible systems, have encouraged us to extend our indirect options ” said Lochinvar managing director David Pepper. “We already had one of the most comprehensive ranges of hot water products in the UK marketplace, but the addition of these new models puts us in an even stronger position.
“There appears to be some recovery in the commercial construction sector, but contractors still face a range of challenges,” he added. “Specifiers are now working with a wider choice of fuel sources. They are also looking for higher efficiency solutions that can integrate with existing systems and provide lower fuel running costs and a reliable supply of hot water.
“As a result, the pressure is on manufacturers to offer an unprecedented range of water heating options,” said Mr Pepper.
The Squire range is also suitable for projects which include renewables and the integral coils have been suitably sized for working with these technologies, as well as with traditional LTHW systems. In particular, the twin coil versions offer an efficient, space-saving solution on integrated systems. It is also possible to utilise both coils with the LTHW boiler to increase hot water recovery rates.
All Squire Indirect Water Heaters are insulated and finished in a grey outer casing with a black base and lid.
